  Sacred Hill 4 Player rules may be used with any variant of Sacred Hill, whether it be Level 1 or 2, or scoring with kingdoms or knots. So play each variant as before, but modify the rules accordingly. It is played with two pairs; each pair playing in partnership. IMPORTANT: Get used to the 2 player game before jumping into the 4 player game.

This enables a player to gain an extra territorial advantage by setting traps for their enemy. However, there is a price to pay which reduces your ability to interfere with your enemy’s plans later on - so watch out! Furthermore, the placing of bridges is more controlled for both players.

Knot Generation   A few helpful demos to make it a little easier to start scoring with knots. It may seem daunting to have to trace each kingdom to find out how many knots they contain, but here are some quick and easy methods to count the knots without having to trace them all the time.

TRANSITION FROM MANOEUVRES TO BATTLE

Whichever player reaches the Battle first must announce “BATTLE”. The other player need only play ONE more Manoeuvres turn (if possible) before proceeding to the Battle.

NOTE: This has been altered to facilitate future product development. The Flash demo for High Kings of Tara will be updated shortly.
